Feel Good on the 50s: Co-Workers Donate Overtime To A Man With Sick Son

Even People Who Didn't Know The Guy

March 12, 2018

There is a man who has dealt with his fair share of heartbreak and tragedy but it seems his co-workers has made his life a bit more easier.

A 36-year-old factory worker in Germany named Andreas Graf lost his wife over a year ago. Apparently she had a heart condition. And if that wasn't enough, their 3-year-old son Julius was fighting leukemia when it happened.

Andreas used all his vacation time caring for his son in the hospital but ran out and had to go back to work or end up loasing his job!

But then his HR manager stepped in to help by asking his co-workers if they would be willing to donate their overtime to Andreas and they did!

The factory has about 650 employees. And EVERY SINGLE ONE of them helped out. They donated a total of 3,265 hours, or about 18 MONTHS worth of time. Even people who didn't know Andreas was there to help!

They raised enough overtime to allow him to take the rest of the year off from work!

Now his son is doing better. He just turned five last month and should be well enough to go to pre-school soon.

Talk about GREAT co-workers!
