What Costco Employees Want You to Know

Who knew?

I have a love/hate relationship with Costco.

I love it for the bargains, much of the quality, the pharmacy, the efficient checkout, free samples, among other things. What I don't like is the rudeness and inconsideration of many of the customers.

I have seen fights break out at the food kiosks, and people plowing their carts through with abandon, not watching where they are going. I probably go twice twice a month, so it is very enlightening to know what the Costco employees must deal with on a daily basis.

For starters, here are five peeves that Costco employees have:

  • Customers not having their membership cards ready.
  • Hogging food at the kiosks (one per customer, please).
  • Not throwing trash in proper receptacles.
  • Putting food back in the wrong places.
  • Making assumptions about employees' happiness.
